Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Four people were injured in an apartment fire in Magdeburg.
As the police announced on Wednesday, the apartment in Stadtfeld caught fire on Tuesday evening.
The 77-year-old apartment owner and three other house residents suffered from smoke poisoning.
The elderly woman and another resident had to be taken to hospital for further treatment.
The possible cause of the fire could have been an unattended candle, the police said.
The amount of property damage was initially unknown.
