On the 11th local time, the US House of Representatives formally proposed a resolution to impeach President Trump, accusing Trump of "seditioning rebellion."

The impeachment draft directly refers to Trump's repeated false accusations of election fraud, and his speech outside the White House on the 6th inciting supporters to break into the Capitol.

The Democratic Party also pointed out that Trump has repeatedly called the Secretary of State of Georgia to pressure him to find enough votes to change the result of the election.

The U.S. House of Representatives called on Pence to lead important cabinet members to use the 25th Amendment to the Constitution to remove Trump from office.

Pence will have one day to consider whether to comply with the appeal of the House of Representatives and use the 25th amendment.

Most experts believe that Pence will not take action to remove Trump from the presidency.

If Pence does not accept this proposal, it is expected that the House of Representatives will vote on the impeachment resolution at 9 am Eastern Time on the 14th.

At least 210 Democrats have expressed support for the draft.

Biden did not state his position on the impeachment of Trump, saying that he will leave the issue to Congress for decision.

Democrats said that because the Senate needs to prioritize urgent issues related to the epidemic, the review of Trump's charges may not be conducted during his tenure, but will be postponed to the first month of President-elect Biden of the United States.

But if he is found guilty by the Senate after leaving office, he will lose the privileges of retiring president, including security and pensions.

Congress may also ban him from holding public office again, which only requires a simple majority in the Senate.
