Ahmad Dahan has owned his car for a year, but already on the first day in his new parking lot, the catalyst was stolen.

In the morning when he was about to start the car, he discovered that it sounded strange.

He called the workshop which found that the catalyst was gone.

The theft was reported to the police, but the investigation was closed after two weeks.

- The police do nothing, which motivates the thieves even more, says Ahmad Dahan.

The parts are shipped abroad

The United Kingdom was the first country to notice this wave of thefts in early 2020 and now it has also reached Sweden.

According to the police, the thefts are difficult to investigate, among other things as there is no serial number on the catalyst, which makes it virtually impossible to trace the parts.

- This is about international networks, these parts do not circulate in Sweden, says Jörgen Karlsson.

In the video, you hear Ahmad Dahan talk about how he has not slept at night since the theft.
