Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - It's getting wintry in Baden-Württemberg: Although the very big snow isn't there yet, up to 30 centimeters of it should fall locally during the day.

The German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Tuesday that the snow will only turn into rain at lower altitudes.

Above 400 to 600 meters, between five and ten centimeters of snow is expected to fall, in the Odenwald, the Ostalb and Allgäu up to fifteen centimeters.

Up to 30 centimeters have been announced for the higher areas of the Black Forest.

The meteorologists also warn of gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour for Upper Swabia.

In the mountains, the wind therefore reaches hurricane-like speeds of up to 110 kilometers per hour.

The temperatures should be between minus one and four degrees during the day, for the night on Wednesday the meteorologists warn of frost and slippery roads.

The temperatures then probably drop to minus three degrees.
