Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - After several delays, the so-called November aid is being paid out to thousands of waiting companies in Saxony-Anhalt.

The federal government activated the online portal required for this on Tuesday afternoon, announced the state investment bank and the state economics ministry.

The first funds should be transferred on the same day.

According to the latest information, almost 3,600 companies from Saxony-Anhalt have applied for November aid in a total amount of more than 55 million euros through their tax advisors.

A good third of this has so far been paid out directly by the federal government via advance payments, said Minister of Economics Armin Willingmann after a meeting of the black-red-green cabinet.

"The companies are rightly waiting."

It is particularly annoying that it was due to a technical problem, although all application conditions have been known for a long time.

With the November aid, companies are to be compensated by the state for lost sales if they had to close because of the corona measures ordered.

The funds should actually have been flowing for a long time, and a similar program has also been launched for those affected by the December lockdown.

So far, companies have received discounts on the amount actually requested.

Almost a week ago, the federal and state governments agreed that the outstanding funds would be paid out via the federal state institutes from Sunday onwards.

According to the Federal Ministry of Economics, software problems still had to be worked on.
