Carlos Ghosn, a former chairman of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., who is fleeing to Lebanon in the Middle East, will be interviewed in Lebanon from the middle of this month over allegations that the French judicial authorities have diverted funds from car maker Renault. However, it was postponed due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection in the area.

French judicial authorities are proceeding with "preliminary hearing procedures" on the suspicion that former chairman Carlos Ghosn has diverted the funds of Renault, who was the top management.

This procedure is a system in which the trial judge of the court collects evidence from the parties concerned based on the request of the prosecution in a serious case and examines whether to bring it to trial, and the trial judge in charge of the case After entering Lebanon, I was planning to interview the former chairman himself for five days from the 18th of this month.

However, according to former chairman Ghosn's lawyer, the hearing was postponed because Lebanon was forced to take measures such as immigration restrictions due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

It is said that a new date has not been set, but it is expected that the schedule will be adjusted again in the future based on the infection situation.
