Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - A fare dodger pushed a woman into the track bed while fleeing from inspectors in Frankfurt.

The 60-year-old injured her head in the fall at the airport train station and was briefly unconscious, the federal police said on Tuesday.

She had been given medical care and taken to a hospital for safety.

The alleged perpetrator had been checked shortly before on Monday afternoon in an S-Bahn, he did not have a ticket with him.

At the train station, the 46-year-old fled and knocked the woman over.

The inspectors pulled the injured person off the track, a train was not nearby at the time.

The 46-year-old was arrested shortly afterwards at the airport.
