Schwalmtal (dpa / lhe) - A fire in a half-timbered house in the Vogelsberg district resulted in damage of around 50,000 euros, according to police estimates.
The fire broke out in the roof structure of the detached house in Schwalmtal, as a police spokesman announced on Tuesday.
The residents, a family of three, could all escape unharmed outside.
According to the police, the house is currently not habitable.
According to the police spokesman, it was not yet clear on Tuesday morning how the fire could come about on Monday afternoon.
The police has started investigation.
