The updated situation in Italy and in the world



Today's data on coronavirus in Italy: 616 deaths and 14,242 new cases are recorded in 24 hours. Yesterday there were 12,532 swab positives and 448 victims 



. Currently positives have decreased by 5,939 compared to the previous 24 hours, with a national total of 570,040. Between discharged and recovered there is an increase of 19,565 people, for a global figure in Italy of 1,653,404 cases.



Veneto, heavy number of deaths, +166


Today's figure of deaths from Covid-19 in Veneto is heavy, registering 166 deaths in the last 24 hours, for a total of 7,593 since the start of the pandemic. The regional Bulletin also reports 2,134 new infections, bringing the total to 289,835 cases. The pressure on hospitals also rises, with 34 new admissions in non-critical areas with the total at 3,028, and 2 in intensive care, where 391 patients are hospitalized.



In Lazio 1,381 cases and 42 deaths


Today out of over 13,000 tampons in Lazio (+2,702) there are 1,381 positive cases (+127), 42 deaths (-3) and +1,633 recovered. Deaths and hospitalizations are decreasing, while cases and intensive care are increasing. This was announced by the councilor for health Alessio D'Amato. The ratio between positives and swabs is 10% "but if we also consider the antigenic ones the percentage drops to 4%. The cases in Rome city return to 800", he explains.  



In Puglia 1,261 positives and 42 deaths


Out of 10,458 tests for Covid-19 infection, 1,261 positive cases were recorded: 398 in the province of Bari, 96 in the province of Brindisi, 151 in the BAT province, 299 in the province of Foggia, 82 in the province of Lecce, 232 in the province of Taranto, 2 residents outside the region, 1 case of unknown province of residence. 42 deaths were recorded: 22 in the province of Bari, 1 in the province of BAT, 3 in the province of Brindisi, 8 in the province of Foggia, 8 in the province of Taranto. Since the beginning of the emergency, 1,133,040 tests have been carried out; 45,506 patients are cured; 55,250 are currently positive cases.



In the Marche 499 new positives


In the Marche on 3,514 swabs carried out, 499 new positive cases were found. There are 79 hospitalized in intensive care, 588 non-intensive care patients for a total of 667. 31,734 are discharged / healed, 13,523 in home isolation.



Tuscany, another 21 deaths in 24 hours


In Tuscany the report of the last 24 hours records 303 new cases of Coronavirus with 7,569 more swabs and another 21 deaths (average age 87.2 years, total goes to 3,905) compared to yesterday. The total of positives now rises to 125,633 people. As a percentage, the number of healed in 24 hours (579 units, + 0.5%) increased more, reaching 113,005. The currently positive are 8,723 (-3.3%) of which the hospitalized today are 910 (-23 on yesterday equal to -2.5%, among them there are 137 patients in intensive care) while 7,813 people are in isolation at home with mild or asymptomatic symptoms (-274 on yesterday, -3.4%). In addition, there are 12,159 people (-231 on yesterday equal to -1.9%) in home quarantine, under active ASL surveillance, for contacts with infected people.



In Basilicata 171 new cases and 3 deaths


In Basilicata, in the last 24 hours, 1,222 swabs were processed for the search for contagion from Covid-19, of which 171 (and of these 156 residents in Basilicata) were positive. On the same day 3 people died: 1 resident in Lavello, 1 in Moliterno, 1 in Satriano di Lucania. The regional task force reports.



In Abruzzo 152 new cases, 6 deaths


152 new coronavirus cases have been ascertained in the last hours in Abruzzo. 2,517 swabs emerged from the analysis: 6.04% of the samples were positive. There are six recent deaths, which push the death toll to 1,291. Despite a reduction in the currently positive, hospitalizations are increasing, going from 509 yesterday to 516 today. The currently positive are 243 fewer and drop to 11,137: 478 patients (+7 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in non-intensive care and 38 (unchanged, with a new hospitalization) are in intensive care, while the other 10,621 ( -250) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. The healed are 389 (in total 25,597).
