Atletico Madrid continued their brilliant start in the current season in the Spanish Football League, and strengthened its lead in the competition table with a precious victory over Sevilla on Tuesday evening in the postponed match between them from the first stage of the competition.

Atletico ended the first half in favor of it with a clean goal scored by the Argentine Angel Correa in the 17th minute, and then the team consolidated its victory in the second half with a second goal scored by substitute Saul Nigues in the 76th minute.

Atletico lifted its score to 41 points in the lead, four points behind its traditional rival and stubborn rival Real Madrid, and Sevilla froze at 30 points in sixth place.
