The NHL season 2021 starts Finnish time on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
Speculating on the new season, the Puck League shared its views on its own channels of who are the top 50 players in the series.
There were no Finns in the top ten.
Ranked No. 1 in the NHL Network praised Edmonton Oilers ’wind-fast center, Connor McDavid of Canada, who hit 97 power points in 64 regular-season matches last season.
Second place went to Colorado Avalanche Canadian striker Nathan MacKinnon.
Third place went to McDavid's companion, German Leon Draisaitl.
The only defender in the top ten is Swedish Victor Hedman, who led the Tampa Bay Lightning championship last season.
Hedman, 30, was awarded the most valuable player in the playoffs.
In the following tens, there are plenty of Finns.
Boston goalkeeper Tuukka Rask is ranked 20th in the list.
Rask, who played a magnificent 92.9 percent in the regular season last season, is the second-best goalkeeper on the NHL Network, after Andrei Vasilevski of 17th place in Tampa Bay.
In the past, NHL coaches were on the same lines, voting for the Raskin Series ’fourth most valuable goalkeeper after Vasilevsky, Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck and Montreal’s Carey Price.

In the NHL Network listing, the best Finnish field player is Aleksander Barkov in 23rd place. Mikko Rantanen is in 24th place and Sebastian Aho in 29th place.
The top 50 list also includes Dallas Stars 'defensive last season defender, Dallas Stars' Miro Heiskanen (place 45) and Winnipeg's goal gun Patrik Laine (place 47).
