Bonn (AP) - Bundesliga basketball team Telekom Baskets Bonn has parted ways with coach Igor Jovovic.
The club announced on Monday and drew the consequences of the weak start with eight defeats in eleven games.
The 38-year-old came to the Rhinelander as assistant coach from Bayern Munich in the summer.
The previous assistant coach Chris O'Shea will initially act as interim trainer.
«The quality of our team is not reflected in the results.
Too often we lose our structure and control over the game in crucial phases of the game.
By changing to the coaching position, we hope to constantly use the undisputed potential that the team has often flashed, ”said Baskets sports manager Michael Wichterich.
