With this situation in mind, the Ministry of Defense will set up a new post specializing in Economic Security Information Planning Officer in April in order to collect information on the military diversion of advanced technology.
It also aims to prevent the leakage of advanced technology and related information overseas.
According to the Ministry of Defense, "Overseas, there are cases where civilian technologies such as AI are diverted to the military, so strengthening the ability to collect and analyze information is extremely important for security."
