Chosun Central News Agency said at the 8th Labor Party Congress that Chairman Kim Jong-un was elected as party general secretary.

At the yesterday's (9th) meeting, the official title of Kim Jong-un changed as the party's rules were revised and the secretary bureau was revived.

Kim Jong-un became the party's first secretary in 2012, and in 2016, four years later, he became the chairman of the Labor Party.

Considering that his father was a general secretary, he seems to have avoided the same office, but this time, as he assumed the position of general secretary, he made it clear that he was the highest leader of the Labor Party.

High-level personnel were also conducted.

Kim Yeo-jeong, who caught the most attention, not only failed to be promoted to a member of the Political Bureau, but was also omitted from the list of candidates for the Political Bureau, which he had previously held.

Considering the position of Kim Yeo-jung, who has been in charge of the issues with the South and the United States, it is an evaluation that is unexpected, but the actual role and status change should be examined further.

Cho Yong-won, the closest close friend of Kim Jong-un, entered the list of five members of the Political Bureau, which is considered the core power of the Labor Party, and Bong-ju Park was excluded.

It seems that the 8th party congress is on the sixth day yesterday, and North Korea announced that the congress will continue.
