Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - Almost four months after the violent death of a homeless person (41) in a park in Düsseldorf, a suspect (31) was arrested and taken into custody.

The acquaintance is said to have stabbed the victim, the investigators said on Monday.

The man is being investigated for bodily harm resulting in death.

The homeless man was discovered lifeless in the park in the Oberbilk district late in the evening of September 19.

Last week, homicide officers arrested the 31-year-old after evaluating a large number of leads and questioning witnesses.

"The investigators assume that the victim and the suspect knew each other."

It was initially unclear whether the suspect also comes from the homeless scene.
