When Cail Madrid Wahlstedt saw a man snatching at his shop, he did not hesitate to confront the man. He stopped him at the checkout but what he had no idea was that the man would pick up an ax from the backpack. - He held it up to the height of my face and said "I think it's time for you to let me go now", says Cail who did just the opposite and wrestled the man down instead.
The incident occurred at lunchtime on Sunday.
After Cail Madrid Wahlstedt, together with help from both staff and civilians, gained control of the man, the police came and arrested him, suspected of robbery in the counter-defense case.
No one was physically injured in the riot that was captured on the store's surveillance film. See the pictures and hear Cail tell about the event in the video.
