Munich (dpa / lby) - Bavaria's innkeepers and hoteliers are increasingly afraid of their existence: Almost three quarters are now afraid of the continued existence of their businesses due to the ongoing corona restrictions, as the Dehoga industry association announced on Monday in Munich.

Almost one in four is already thinking about giving up.

In view of the extension of the lockdown until the end of January, despair and existential fear are prevalent in large parts of the hospitality industry, said Dehoga country chief Angela Inselkammer.

1,380 restaurants and hotels took part in the survey.

The association asked again for financial aid - including a Bavarian special fund. Without financial aid, jobs and structures could not be maintained, said Inselkammer.
