Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The mood of crisis in the North Rhine-Westphalian hospitality industry is worsening, according to the industry association Dehoga: According to an internal survey, 77 percent of the companies see their existence threatened due to the corona pandemic.

24.5 percent of those questioned even considered a task.

According to Dehoga, 1,394 entrepreneurs from North Rhine-Westphalia took part in the nationwide survey.

As the regional association announced on Monday, the so-called November aid is still pending for many members.

"A mere 71.8 percent of the hospitality industry in North Rhine-Westphalia (nationwide: 68.1 percent) received advance payments for November aid."

"The opening and normalization we long for cannot be foreseen at first, which is why it remains all the more important to get the help as quickly, as appropriately and as unbureaucratically as it is possible to where it is needed, namely in the companies", said Dehoga NRW President Bernd Niemeier.
