According to local media reports, on the afternoon of the 9th, a shooting occurred in the parking garage of an apartment near the University of Chicago campus in the south of Chicago.
The murderer then shot and killed a guard in another apartment in southern Chicago, and shot and killed a man in a convenience store.
That evening, the murderer kidnapped a woman in northern Chicago and was later killed in an exchange of fire with the police.
Four people were seriously injured in the serial shooting.
According to the Chicago police, the murderer committed a selective and indiscriminate shooting, and his criminal motive is still under investigation.
