The man was imprisoned while awaiting trial for immediate appearance on Monday afternoon.

Friday, a crew from the local security group arrested a Villeurbannais, driving for life in a corridor reserved for buses.

The driver initially refused to stop despite orders from the police, reports the Sûreté du Rhône, hitting three cars parked along the road.

Investigators quickly discovered that the suspect did not hold a driver's license and that the vehicle was a car rented in the name of his partner, a passenger on the day of the incident.

The investigations also made it possible to make the link with a case of hit and run committed in June.

If the man is to be tried on Monday for the two cases, his partner has been left free.
