After Christmas and New Year's Eve, it's time to throw away your Christmas tree.

Or rather to give it away.

A farm in Noisy-Le-Grand in the Paris region has appealed for donations of fir trees to feed its goats.

Rich in vitamins and trace elements, the thorns delight farm animals.

REPORTAGE

It's time to turn the page on the holiday season and throw in the tree.

To get rid of it, there are the traditional collection places set up everywhere, but there is also a more original solution: give its tree to ... a goat, which will make it his feast.

"It's Christmas for goats!"

The "Rainbow Farm", an educational farm located in Noisy-Le-Grand in Seine-Saint-Denis, has appealed for donations of fir trees for its goats, which are responsible for removing thorns and bark.

"There are vitamins and trace elements," explains Laetitia, who runs this farm.

“It's good for them, but in small amounts, because it's like a treat. It's Christmas for the goats!” She smiles.

In this farm, Christmas will extend until spring because the appeal for tree donations has been relayed 11,000 times in three days on social networks.

"My phone is just ringing," says Laetitia.

Cars march past and trees pile up behind the farm.

"We are a little overwhelmed by events. We have largely exceeded the 250 trees. People come from far away, other municipalities and even intramural Paris", continues Laetitia.

The farm announced that it had received enough trees, as it was difficult for the goats to keep pace.

But the trees that will not be eaten will not be thrown away.

Their thorns and trunk will be used for new constructions.
