Those hospitalized have risen slightly between Saturday and Sunday, going from 2,249 to 2,325, as have those admitted to the ICU, which rose from 385 to 408.

contain contagions,

this Monday a total of 41 basic health areas and 14 municipalities of the Community of Madrid will be prohibited from entering and leaving except for justified reasons, after extending restrictions on mobility to 23 new health areas and nine localities.

In

the areas affected by mobility limitations

live just over 1.2 million people from Madrid, 18.3 percent of the population, and 25 percent of the cases of coronavirus infections in the region are concentrated.

Specifically, from 00:00 hours on Monday, January 11, entry and exit are limited for 14 days until Monday, January 25 in twenty-three basic health areas and nine towns, which are added to the eighteen areas and five municipalities that already had limited travel.

Confined areas in Madrid

In Madrid capital, the Barajas district is added in its entirety and restrictions are established in the areas of Benita de Ávila and Silvano in Hortaleza;

Mirasierra and Las Tablas, in Fuencarral-El Pardo;

Jasmine in Ciudad Lineal;

Montesa, General Oráa and Baviera in the Salamanca district;

and Alpes y Rejas in San Blas-Canillejas.

Likewise, mobility is restricted in all the municipalities of Alcobendas and San Sebastián de los Reyes.

Limitations are also extended to the basic health zones of Francia, Cuzco, Panaderas and Castilla la Nueva (Fuenlabrada);

Presentation Sabio, Dos de Mayo and El Soto (Móstoles);

and Rivas La Paz (Rivas-Vaciamadrid).

In addition, as of this Monday and for fourteen days entry and exit in nine locations that do not coincide with a basic area are restricted, as the transmission sources are more localized: Arroyomolinos, Talamanca del Jarama, Valdeolmos-Alapardo, Collado Mediano, Becerril de la Sierra, Cadalso de los Vidrios, Campo Real, Titulcia and Velilla de San Antonio.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Health maintains the restrictions until 00:00 hours on Monday, January 18 in the basic health area of ​​Felipe II and Mayor Bartolomé González, in Móstoles;

and Getafe Norte, in Getafe;

Las Olivas and Aranjuez (Aranjuez);

San Fernando and Los Alperchines (San Fernando de Henares);

and Torrelodones, which affects the municipalities of Torrelodones and Hoyo de Manzanares.

In Madrid capital, mobility limitations are extended in the basic health areas of Andrés Mellado (Chamberí);

Sanchinarro and Virgen del Cortijo (Hortaleza);

Aravaca (Moncloa-Aravaca) and General Moscardó (Tetuán).

In addition, the restrictions remain until Monday, January 18 in Ciempozuelos, Navalcarnero, Algete, Mejorada del Campo and Villarejo de Salvanés.
