Leipzig (dpa) - Due to the Corona crisis, around every fourth person in Saxony (24 percent) has less income available.

This was the result of a representative INSA survey commissioned by the Leipziger Volkszeitung.

The self-employed, freelancers, schoolchildren and students are particularly affected by loss of income.

For example, almost one in two (45 percent) of the self-employed and freelancers stated that they earned less money.

For the students it was 35 percent.

In the age groups, around 30 to 39 year olds are severely affected. In this group, one in three suffered losses. For those over 60, however, the income remained the same at 82 percent. This is also related to the fact that pensions are paid unchanged. 1008 citizens aged 18 and over were interviewed for the survey from December 1st to 15th.
