The businessman close to the Syrian regime, Rami Makhlouf, announced - Sunday evening - that he had sent a message to the president of the regime, Bashar Al-Assad, in which he said that "the wealthy of war" had seized his property and companies in Syria, and he also stated that he is publishing that message on Facebook to ensure that it reaches Al-Assad.

Makhlouf, a cousin of Bashar al-Assad, said in a post on his Facebook page that he had sent that message to Assad in his capacity as head of the Supreme Judicial Council.

The message stated that there are "gangs" that have wide powers, the most important of which is the security authority "which is a sword hanging over everyone's necks without exception." They suspended every treatment of Makhloof in any government agency, and then adopted a "criminal" method of forging contracts and agencies, up to Legalizing the sale of his property without his knowledge.

Makhlouf - who owned a huge business empire that included communications and real estate - said he was surprised a few days ago that security agents stormed one of his offices and seized all of his company documents.

And he considered that what happened to him constitutes the largest corruption file that passes through the history of Syria and undermines its prestige, and concluded his letter by demanding to "return all his rights to him and punish the perpetrators with the most severe punishments, so that they will be an example for whoever is considered."
