Berlin (dpa / bb) - During two operations at the Kottbusser Tor underground station in Berlin-Kreuzberg, police officers were attacked and injured by men.

On Saturday evening, a police patrol on a platform spoke to a 26-year-old who is said to have smoked a cigarette and not worn a mouth and nose cover, as the police announced on Sunday.

The man reacted aggressively and kicked and hit the officers.

According to the information, he had to be brought to the ground and handcuffed.

The two police officers and the suspect were injured.

An hour later, on the middle level of the subway station, a 37-year-old without a mask is said to have refused to leave the station.

He said he did not provide any personal information, so two police officers tried to search him.

The man then suddenly punched one of the officers in the face with his fist and injured the eye.

The suspect was arrested and the policeman was treated in a hospital.
