China News Agency reporter Ma Haiyan

"At the moment, China's ability to achieve epidemic prevention and control and economic recovery at the same time is a reward for the joint efforts of 1.4 billion people. It is not just relying on the power of the government. I know you will not look at China with colored glasses." This is Japanese director Takeuchi Liang's words in the "Post-epidemic Era" were appreciated by the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

In this 33-minute documentary, Takeuchi uses his own perspective to show China, which is "controlling the virus while promoting the state of economic development," to the world, and also hopes to bring China's experience and strength in the "post-epidemic era" Share with Japan and other countries.

In an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency, Takeuchi emphasized that China's development in the post-epidemic era is the result of everyone's efforts.

"The epidemic in China is now well controlled, while the United States, Europe, and Japan are still far behind. Western media and Japanese media have the same analysis, that is, whether it is to prevent and control the epidemic or restore the economy, it is mandatory by the Chinese government. But as a foreigner living in China, I know that this is not the case in China. It is not all done by the government. We people and everyone have worked hard."

The theme of "Post-epidemic Era" is "Breaking Against the Trend".

Ryo Takeuchi said that the determination of this topic was made after the investigation, "We found that despite the epidemic, many companies are actually growing very fast, and then the production team discussed and determined the topic of'anti-trend outbreak'."

The documentary is divided into four chapters: The first chapter "Nobody", introduces China taking the new crown epidemic as an opportunity, and various industries have accelerated the process of unmanning; the second chapter "National Broadcasting" introduces the rise of live sales during the epidemic ; Chapter 3 ""Removing" the New Coronavirus", introducing the experience of Chinese air purification companies in achieving sales growth through technological breakthroughs during the epidemic; Chapter 4 ""Zero Infection" Wuhan", focusing the lens on Lenovo's Wuhan factory , Wuhan was unblocked on April 8, but the factory resumed full production at the end of March.

More than 13,000 employees, so far "zero infection".

Takeuchi Ryo showed the strict epidemic prevention steps in every corner of Lenovo's Wuhan factory, including workbenches, canteens, and dormitories, one by one.

He said that there are no restrictions on going in for shooting, and you can shoot anything. “And we don’t have a script. The general theme is there, but what you want to shoot is uncertain. Then we go to see interesting things and shoot. We don’t pose. What we emphasize is truth."

He told reporters that the film lasted 3 months from the idea to the broadcast, and all the companies came from the solicitation on Weibo. "They have seen the "Nanjing Anti-epidemic Scene" and "Long Time No See, Wuhan" that I filmed before. They treat me very much. Trust. All in all, the implementation went smoothly without any difficulties."

The film also presents the advanced aspects of Chinese corporate management and technology.

But as we all know, some high-tech companies in China are being sanctioned by certain Western countries. Takeuchi said bluntly: "It is not a corporate problem, but a political problem."

Takeuchi Ryo said that Western countries, including Japanese media, reported China with prejudice, so there was a lot of misunderstanding.

"I often say that Western media are too black China, and Chinese media are too boastful of themselves, so they should report objectively."

He suggested that China should also have cultural output that can reach ordinary people abroad. "The Japanese don't know Chinese information other than economics and politics. If they can know more Chinese movies, stars, idols, cartoons, fashion, etc., The goodwill for China will definitely increase. Because I also like to watch Chinese movies. I find it really interesting, but most Japanese don’t know."

After the film went live on January 1, it caused great repercussions in both China and Japan.

On Takeuchi's Weibo, many Chinese netizens expressed their appreciation and support.

In Japan, some people envy China's development, while others question the authenticity of documentaries.

"I didn't praise China, I think I was objective, I just said what I felt." Takeuchi told reporters that some Japanese netizens said "Takeuchi is a dog of the Chinese government, a spy of the Chinese government."

But he doesn’t care, “because these people don’t look at my work. The reactions of those who have seen my work are basically good, and more than 90% are positive energy.”

Takeuchi said that the film appeared on the homepage of Yahoo, the most influential website in Japan, on January 3. Most of the reactions from netizens were "China is so powerful" or "Japan has been surpassed by China, so we Japanese need to work hard." .

Those who commented without looking at the work were very malicious, "How can this Japanese be like this?" "This Takeuchi Ryo, right?".

He emphasized that after watching the film, he knew that the film was not fake, but very real. It was not made for exaggeration.

Takeuchi told reporters that his next work will be the Yangtze River.

He has been making documentaries for NHK (Japan Broadcasting Association) when he was in Japan, and filmed the Yangtze River 10 years ago.

"2021 is exactly 10 years. I want to take pictures of the Yangtze River again and show China's changes in the past 10 years through a river. There are many cities I like on the Yangtze River. Nanjing, Wuhan, Chongqing and Shanghai are all on the Yangtze River. I plan to go again this year. Once, take pictures of the local customs along the Yangtze River." (End)
