When the meeting summarized the achievements of political and legal work in 2020, it was pointed out that the special struggle against criminals and evil has won new results.
In accordance with the law, major and complicated cases were investigated and dealt with in the Sun Xiaoguo case in Yunnan, the "Body Burial Case in the Playground" in Hunan, and the "Four Major Family Cases" in Hulan, Heilongjiang. 1,609 fugitives involved in criminal activities were arrested, with an attendance rate of 94%.
As of the end of November last year, 3,584 gang-related organizations and 11,119 gang-related criminal groups had been wiped out nationwide according to law. The number of gang-related organizations eliminated was equivalent to the sum of the previous 10 years.
Cooperated with the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision in investigating and handling 81,400 cases of crime-related corruption and "protective umbrella" issues, giving 68,100 party disciplinary and government sanctions, and transferring 9,220 people to judicial organs.
Cooperate with the organization department to rectify more than 100,000 weak and scattered village party organizations, and investigate and deal with more than 400 problems that interfered with the village's "two committees" general elections by means of bribery and other abnormal means.
The meeting pointed out that through the three-year special struggle, the order of public security has improved significantly, and the grassroots society, politics, and economic ecology have improved significantly.
As one of the priorities of this year's political and legal work, the meeting emphasized the need to solidly advance the "six constructions" of the eradication of gangsters and promote normalization of the eradication of gangsters.
It is necessary to thoroughly crack down on prominent illegal crimes such as pornography, gambling, robbery, fraud, food and medicine, etc., which are strongly reported by the masses, improve mechanisms for cracking down on new types of cybercrimes and transnational crimes, and strengthen rolling investigations and rectifications in key areas of social security.
It is necessary to accelerate the construction of a three-dimensional and intelligent social security prevention and control system, improve the public security and armed police joint service armed patrol mechanism, and improve the active prevention and control of social security in a dynamic environment.
