According to the president of the National Rally, the economic consequences of this measure are disastrous compared to the benefit obtained. 

Marine le Pen is in Lisbon to support the populist candidate for the Portuguese presidential election on January 24, André Ventura, leader of the Chega party (“that's enough!” In Portuguese).

But if the president of the National Rally appears with the Portuguese candidate, she nevertheless keeps her eyes on France.

On Saturday, at the microphone of Europe 1, she criticized the extension of the curfew against the coronavirus in certain departments, stressing its disastrous consequences for entrepreneurs.

"To close between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. is once again throwing thousands, tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs into a situation which is untenable", exclaims the president of the RN.

The curfew will be brought forward to 6 p.m. in eight departments from Sunday.

"Too heavy" consequences

It emphasizes in particular that efforts to adapt have already been requested of traders, without the latter having any visibility on the future of their establishment.

"We have asked [them] to be flexible, to adapt, to do take-out. Today they say 'we have adapted, we have made financial investments and we can't even do any more. take-away '. "

She concludes: "The consequences of this measure are far too heavy compared to the benefits that can be expected in terms of health."
