Yesterday, Qatari travelers began entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to crossing cars, after the Salwa border crossing between the two countries reopened.

Yesterday morning, the first Qatari car crossed into Saudi Arabia through the port, after its reopening after its closure three and a half years ago.

The official Saudi Al-Akhbariya channel published, through its Twitter account, a video showing the Qataris crossing the Salwa crossing on their way to the Kingdom, monitoring the entry of cars bearing Qatar plates.

The Saudi Customs announced, earlier yesterday, that it is ready to receive the Kingdom's guests through the Salwa border crossing, which connects the Kingdom with Qatar, after three and a half years of closure.

Customs published, through its Twitter account, a video of the Salwa land port with Qatar after the completion of the technical preparations necessary to open it and receive travelers.

This comes on the heels of the agreement that culminated in the signing of the "Al-Ula Declaration" of the 41st summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Saudi Arabia, last Tuesday.

According to Al-Arabiya TV, Qatari citizens must bypass some of the conditions set by the Saudi Ministry of Interior to enter the kingdom's lands.

Among the most prominent of these conditions, in light of the Corona pandemic, is a laboratory examination with (PCR) technology and home quarantine for 3 days, or home quarantine for 7 days.

The laboratory examination is done by detecting the molecular biology through taking respiratory samples, to search for the presence of the virus, and the taken sample allows obtaining a viral load, and thus it is known whether it is loaded with viruses or not.

In order to facilitate the implementation of this condition, the Ministry of Health provided medical teams at the Salwa border crossing, to examine arrivals before entering Saudi Arabia and to sign a commitment to abide by home quarantine.
