Every tenth student in the ninth grade in Sörmland has used drugs one or more times. This emerges from a survey conducted by the Sörmland region in which almost 6,700 students from Sörmland in three different year groups participated. - It is very serious and there has been an increase, says Elin Johansson, prevention coordinator for alcohol and drug issues at Eskilstuna municipality.
Every three years, the Life and Health Young survey is conducted by Region Sörmland.
Last year's survey shows, among other things, that ten percent of the students surveyed in ninth grade used drugs - which is an increase of four percent compared to the previous survey, which was conducted in 2017.
