January 09, 2021 The homeless man who died yesterday in Genoa while sleeping in a makeshift shelter, near the bus stop, near the Galliera hospital, will remain without a name, or rather, with 25 different names, in Town center.

The rescuers of Genova Soccorso, alerted by a taxi driver, had initially managed to make the man's heartbeat resume, but the severe hypothermia, immediately diagnosed by the intervening doctors, was lethal and he died shortly after arrival in the hospital.

During the identifications he had been subjected to over time, the homeless man had given 25 different names and 25 dates and places of birth.

The carabinieri tried to trace his identity through fingerprints, but the numerous aliases provided each time he was identified were found in the database.

Certainly there would be the age, 42 years.

Other research is underway to trace the exact origins and real name and surname of the homeless man.

The man was known by the volunteers of the community of Sant'Egidio.

When the rescuers found him he did not have a blanket with him and also for this reason, given the cold temperatures of these nights, his heart stopped.
