The area for the planned wind farm is 177 square kilometers in size and is located 25 kilometers off Falkenberg's coastline.

If the park receives all permits, the plan is for it to be completed by 2030.

In a digital consultation, authorities, especially those concerned and the general public are now invited to comment on the project.

Vattenfall makes the assessment that the project may have significant environmental consequences.

Can become the largest offshore wind farm

- In terms of installation, it is the largest wind farm in Sweden, but I would also like to remind you that we have two other Swedish offshore wind farms that have come further in their project development, and as it looks now, they are ahead of schedule.

Three more wine power parks are planned along the west coast, Stora Middelgrund, Kattegatt offshore and OX2.

It is unclear today which parks will finally get the go-ahead.

Vattenfall also operates the offshore project known as the Krieger Plateau.

It is located 30 kilometers south of Trelleborg, outside the Swedish territorial border but in the economic zone between Sweden, Denmark and Germany.

In the clip above, Johan Weimenhög, project manager for Kattegatt Syd, tells more about the project and the consultation.
