Large winner of the two World Cup giants scheduled this year in Adelboden, Alexis Pinturault said he was "very proud" on Saturday of this double and attributed his rise to "work" with his equipment manufacturer after a start to the season in semi -off.

QUESTION: Two wins in a row here, what does that mean to you?

ANSWER: I am not sure there will be two giants again in Adelboden (exceptional programming linked to the pandemic, note).

So it's part of our history now, that of alpine skiing, and I'm pretty proud of my performance over both days.

Adelboden is a great classic, it's one of the places where you want to win.

If we have to name a giant, this is it.

All the slopes are beautiful, but here there is something special.

To have been able to win twice here is quite remarkable.

Q: Was it as easy for you as the gaps make it seem?

A: I've been told that a lot today, but when I go down I don't have that feeling.

The second race was darker than yesterday (Friday, editor's note) because we were leaving a little later, and the track marked slightly, so it was far from obvious.

Adelboden is always a difficult race: there is a lot of movement in the terrain, you have to ski smart and know how to make the difference on key points.

We know that we can quickly waste time in certain places because we were too greedy.

Q: You are now wearing the giant's red leader's bib, 40 points ahead of Swiss Marco Odermatt.

Has the trend in the specialty been completely reversed?

A: The important thing is not to have the red bib now, it's to have it at the end, so at the moment I don't feel much.

The main thing is to be in contact, even if in front is better.

At the start of the season, it wasn't quite what I expected.

It was not bad, but something was missing.

After we got back to work with Head (his equipment manufacturer, editor's note), we found little things that allowed me to ski even better, with a little more ease, and allow me to perform well in the last races.

After that, Marco has always been on the podium from the start, except today.

(Croatian Filip) Zubcic is still there too.

The fight will be rich until the end, I do not worry: the athletes who are around are also very strong.
