Hamm / Altenkirchen (dpa / lrs) - A 77-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car on a federal road in the Westerwald.
Its driver fled - without taking care of the slightly injured pensioner.
According to the police in Altenkirchen, the accident occurred on Saturday on the B 256 in a confusing bend between Hamm (Sieg) and the village of Au.
The 77-year-old fell when he was struck by the small car.
The police are looking for witnesses to the accident.
