Vechta (dpa / lni) - Bundesliga basketball team Rasta Vechta can still win.
The Lower Saxony won after eleven defeats on Friday against the former series champion Brose Bamberg with 90:82 (39:36) and came to their first success of this season.
With 2:22 points, however, coach Thomas Päch's team is still in last place in the table.
Vechta led the match for much of the game and looked like the sure winner with a score of 85:76 two minutes to go.
But Bamberg was able to shorten (85: 82/39th minute).
In the final phase, you could rely on Jean Salumu.
With five converted free throws in a row, the Belgian became the match winner and was also the top scorer with 25 points.
