Today, Friday, the UAE announced the reopening of all land, sea and air ports with the State of Qatar, starting tomorrow, Saturday.

The Emirates News Agency quoted the Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, as saying that the UAE “will begin to end all measures taken against the State of Qatar according to the statement issued on June 5, 2017, following the signing of the Al-Ula statement that includes the permanent solidarity agreement, which is considered a Gulf and Arab achievement. It strengthens the unity and cohesion of the Gulf, Arab and Islamic ranks. "

He added that his country "will work to reopen all land, sea and air ports for incoming and outgoing movement ... and the relevant authorities in the UAE have been instructed with these measures, which will be activated as of January 9.

The 41st summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which was held in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia, last Tuesday, announced the end of the Gulf crisis that began in June 2017, and led to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt severing their political and diplomatic relations and closing borders and airspace with Qatar.

The Al-Ula summit also stressed that no state’s sovereignty be violated or its security targeted.

It is noteworthy that, prior to the summit, Kuwait announced the opening of the airspace and the land and sea borders between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
