Viersen (dpa / lnw) - Two strangers are said to have stabbed a 27-year-old pedestrian on a street in Viersen at night.
The men had fled without prey, the police reported on Friday.
The man from Viersen was taken to hospital with severe stab wounds on his leg.
The motive for the crime is unclear.
The victim said it could not explain the attack.
The two dark-clad men would have wore masks and hoods.
They did not speak a word to the victim, but spoke to each other in a foreign language.
The attack took place on Thursday night.
The police are now urgently looking for witnesses to the mysterious event.
