Munich (dpa / lby) - When the contact restrictions are tightened to contain the Corona crisis, children up to three years of age are to be exempted from the requirements for meetings with other households in Bavaria.

This was announced by Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) on Friday in his government statement to extend and tighten the lockdown.

From Monday, a contact restriction will apply in Bavaria, which provides that families and singles are only allowed to meet with one other contact person outside the household.

The tightening goes back to a corresponding decision on which the federal and state governments agreed this week.
