The crisis of the Conte 2 government is screwing up: the new draft Recovery plan, sent to the parties after hours of tension and "irritation" between IV and the allies, does not seem to satisfy Italia alive.

And after Giuseppe Conte's availability for dialogue and reshuffling, Matteo Renzi tries to relaunch and leave the match of the crisis to the prime minister.

A glimmer of negotiation, the most optimists assure, is still there.

Tonight at 6 pm, but the time could then be postponed, Conte's meeting with the heads of delegation is scheduled to sign the agreement on the draft Recovery plan to be brought to the Council of Ministers in the following hours, probably on Saturday.

Only afterwards - this "road map" shared by Conte, Pd, M5s and Leu - would the table on the other issues of the government program and the negotiation for the reshuffle open.

But Renzi wants to see all the papers together, has announced that the head of the IV delegation, Teresa Bellanova, will present a document with the points on which there is still disagreement. 



The meeting and the battle on the Recovery plan

Tonight at Palazzo Chigi will be the first, true, confrontation between the majority parties and the Prime Minister.

The meeting with the heads of delegation, which will also be attended by the Minister of Economy, Roberto Gualtieri, the Head of EU Affairs, Enzo Amendola, and the Undersecretary to the Prime Minister, Riccardo Fraccaro, is scheduled for 6 pm, but the time may slip.

The discussion will focus entirely on the new draft Recovery plan that the government will have to bring to the Council of Ministers as soon as possible, and then send the text to Parliament to get the green light also from the Chambers.

The resources envisaged for investments in the new version amount to a total of 222 billion.

The guidelines were sent yesterday to the parties, including Italia viva, the most critical force in the entire coalition, ready to leave the executive if its proposals are not accepted.



In this dossier there will also be the ESM, a topic that has so far divided, if not even split the majority.

Renzi and his team want to understand if there is availability to access the extraordinary credit line of approximately 36 billion euros for direct and indirect healthcare costs.

A 'light' version of the treaty established to deal with possible crises in the banking sectors of the member countries, which presents conditionalities considered by all to be too heavy.

On the table remains the hypothesis of a crisis with still obscure implications, in a climate that continues to be marked by great uncertainty, between those who bet on the reshuffle, those who bet on Conte ter and those who evoke a technical government.

But there are also those who think that it will end as in February last year, with the government crisis one step away and the Covid emergency prevailing over tensions and discontent.
