Kiel (dpa / lno) - The South Korean national player Jae-Sung Lee does not want to rule out staying with the second division football team Holstein beyond the season.
“You never know what will happen tomorrow,” said the 28-year-old offensive player to the “Kieler Nachrichten” (Friday).
"That's why I concentrate on today and do my best every day."
Lee is considered one of the best offensive players in the 2nd Bundesliga.
Most recently, he caused a stir on an Internet portal in his home country when he announced his departure at the end of the season.
His contract with the current runner-up expires in June after three years.
Lee had been courted by several clubs last summer.
Among other things, league rivals Hamburger SV and Bundesliga clubs Werder Bremen and 1899 Hoffenheim are said to have been interested in him.
The Kielers did not give it away and thus waived a million-euro transfer fee.

Lee complied without grumbling.
"I would have had the opportunity to change in the summer," he said.
"But I didn't want my club, which helped me to play football in Europe, and not get in the way of its sporting ambitions."
He wanted a “nice and harmonious” farewell, “whenever it might come”.
Holstein's sports director Uwe Stöver definitely wants to keep the 2018 World Cup participant beyond the season.
