Alexis Pinturault won Friday over the giant Adelboden (Switzerland), his 32nd World Cup victory, with a huge margin over the Croatian Filip Zubcic (at 1 sec 04) and the Swiss Marco Odermatt (at 1 sec 11 ).

The Frenchman thus increases his lead at the top of the general classification of the Alpine Skiing World Cup with 60 points more than the Norwegian defending champion Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, excellent 4th Friday.

In the giant standings, it comes down to 10 points from Odermatt.

Imperial under the sun with the best time of the two races, a rarity, Pinturault won his third victory of the winter, the second in a row in a giant after Alta Badia (Italy) on December 20.

This is the second success of his career on the legendary giant track of Chuesnisbärgli after 2017.

The other French did not shine: Mathieu Faivre is 17th, Thibaut Favrot 23rd, Cyprien Richard 25th and Victor Muffat-Jeandet 27th.

The skiers follow in Adelboden with a second giant on Saturday then a slalom on Sunday.
