There is only one China in the world, the government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory.
The United States has also made a clear commitment to this in the three joint communiqués including the Sino-US "Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations.
China firmly opposes any form of official exchanges between the United States and Taiwan. This position is consistent and clear.
The Taiwan issue concerns China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as China's core interests.
The one-China principle is a broad consensus of the international community, and it is also the norm of international relations confirmed by the UN General Assembly Resolution 2758.
The US conducts political manipulation on the Taiwan issue and acts that harm China’s core interests will not succeed.
