Königswinter / Bonn (dpa) - When opening a towed car without a license plate in Königswinter near Bonn, the police discovered a woman's body.

After identifying the dead, the 22-year-old daughter of the woman was suspected, the police in Bonn announced on Thursday.

The young woman and a 15-year-old friend are on remand on suspicion of manslaughter.

Both are German.

According to the police, the daughter admitted to an argument with her mother at Christmas and acts of violence.

The reason was that the 15-year-old friend wanted to stay with the 22-year-old from the first to the second Christmas day.

The mother wanted the younger one to leave the house, said a spokesman for the Bonn public prosecutor.

According to the police, the 48-year-old victim was strangled or suffocated.

While the daughter testified to the police and indicated that the 15-year-old was involved, the younger denied this, according to the investigators.

Accordingly, the dead should be taken away in a car, which broke down and was left there.

The 16-year-old friend of the younger was supposed to take the body away with the deregistered car.

However, the car that was otherwise used by the mother broke down and was left on a remote road in the mountains of Koenigswinter.

The locked car was reported, then towed and only opened a week later by the police on the premises of a towing company.

There, the investigators met the smell of corpses.

The dead woman was discovered in the trunk.
