07 January 2021 Italy is back in the yellow band today and tomorrow, but unlike what happened before Christmas, it will be a reinforced yellow: bars and restaurants reopen but the ban on moving between regions remains - except for proven health or working hours - the curfew from 10pm to 5am and of course the obligation to wear a mask outdoors and indoors.

Gatherings and parties are prohibited.



Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January the rules of the orange zone will apply.



Schools, elementary and middle school reopen


As for the school, the restart takes place in no particular order.

From today we return to the classroom in elementary and middle schools, as well as those of childhood (with exceptions in Calabria, Campania and Puglia);

second grade students will see the students in the classroom from

Monday 11 January

, with 50% attendance.

But it won't be like that for the whole country.

Alto Adige, in fact, has decided to attempt a return to normalcy and, from Thursday 7 January, it will also open high schools with attendance up to 75% and with a minimum of 50% ". In Piedmont, however, high school students in the classroom from Monday, January 18. Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Marche, already last Monday, had decided, by ordinances, to postpone face-to-face lessons to the end of January and to continue until that date, at 100%, with teaching and distance.
