Nesselwang (dpa) - With the help of a snowmobile, the police in Allgäu broke up an illegal hut party with more than 20 guests.

Walkers noticed the celebration in Nesselwang in the Ostallgäu district because of the loud music with thumping bass, the police said on Thursday.

When the officials wanted to break up the party on Wednesday evening, they encountered an obstacle: the party guests blocked the only access road to the hut with a car.

The officers then organized a snowmobile on site to continue their journey, said a police spokesman.

"Something like that doesn't actually belong to our fleet."

When the police came to the hut, the party guests, who had been warned in the meantime, hid among other things in a nearby forest. Nevertheless, the officials said they had more than 20 guests by Thursday. They now expect fines for violating the Infection Protection Act.
