Los Angeles / Washington (AP) - Many Hollywood stars reacted with outrage to the storm of Trump supporters on the US Capitol in Washington.

"This is an attempted coup to keep a reality TV star in power," wrote actress Alyssa Milano on Twitter.

Nobody should be surprised now, because they have been warning for months that the outgoing US President Donald Trump incited violence.

"Trump is now completely the mad king and must be deposed," wrote Oscar winner Mira Sorvino on Twitter.

"This is a sad day for America," commented pop star Pink on Twitter.

As a US citizen and the daughter of two veterans, she is ashamed of mendacity and hypocrisy in Washington.

«Where is the National Guard?

Where are the rubber bullets?

Why isn't this mob arrested? ”Lamented filmmaker Michael Moore.

After the onslaught of hundreds of supporters of the elected US President Donald Trump, numerous people apparently entered the parliament building unhindered.

"Imagine that it would have been our people," wrote Trump critic Mark Ruffalo on Twitter: "Then rivulets of blood would flow through the streets and none of us would be armed."

Under the hashtag #Staatsstreich, the actor suggested that the protesters had a free hand.

With a few words Trump could have stopped his supporters quickly, wrote director James Gunn on Twitter.

But he waited too long.

The actor Rainn Wilson spoke of a "terrorist attack".

Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger, former governor of California, also spoke up.

"I hope that all of our politicians are on the side of the voters today," warned the Republican.

"I'll monitor it," he wrote on Twitter.

In addition, the Trump critic linked a guest commentary that he had written the day before for the newspaper "The Economist".

In it, he called on his party colleagues to stop Trump and recognize the election of Joe Biden.

It is "stupid, crazy and malicious" to question the election result.
