- We will first do everything we can to not have to conduct distance education - it is clear also in the new proposal, says Katarina Arkehag who is head of administration for preschool and school in Örebro.
On the other hand, it is good that we have been given more opportunities to take action if necessary.
Previously, the principals of the upper secondary schools in the country have been able to decide on distance education if there were no teachers due to sick leave.
In the new proposal, the principals will also be able to decide on distance education to reduce congestion in schools or on buses.
But whether it will be necessary to introduce distance education in Örebro municipality's schools already at the start of the semester 2021 is too early to say.

It is important whether we decide to stay open or we choose to introduce distance education.
