The man was arrested in southern Stockholm on Wednesday night, according to the police after intensive work from their side.

According to Aftonbladet, the evidence consists of a DNA hit and the man has previously been convicted of several serious crimes.

The newspaper writes that the man who was arrested has been on the run from a forensic psychiatric clinic, something the police have not confirmed.

Earlier in the day, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of murder.

He was later released and the suspicions against him do not remain.

After the knife murder in Rissne, the police went out with a picture of the suspected killer and appealed to the public to submit tips. Something that, according to the police, has caused a large number of people to hear from them.
