Bischofshofen (dpa) - The Pole Kamil Stoch has won the Four Hills Tournament of ski jumpers for the third time in his career.

In the last of the four competitions, the 33-year-old veteran took another individual victory on Wednesday in Bischofshofen and secured his next triumph at the prestige event after 2016/17 and 2017/18.

Behind Stoch, the Norwegian Marius Lindvik and Germany's Karl Geiger completed the podium in the fourth individual competition in front of empty stands due to corona.

Geiger took second place in the overall ranking.

Germany's ski jumpers around flight world champion Geiger have to wait for the longed-for overall victory even after 19 years.

The 27-year-old from Allgäu won the first jump in his home Oberstdorf after ten days of corona quarantine, but then left too many points in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and especially in Innsbruck.

World champion Markus Eisenbichler experienced a debacle in Bischofshofen, who as 35th did not even reach the second round.

Defending champion Dawid Kubacki from Poland made it onto the tour podium behind Stoch and Geiger.

The Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud did not get above fourth place overall.

After just one day of rest, qualification for the next World Cup is on the program on Friday in Titisee-Neustadt in the Black Forest.
