Maria Chindamo, the 44-year-old entrepreneur who disappeared on May 6, 2016 in the countryside of Limbadi, would have been killed and her body given to pigs or ground with a tractor.

This was revealed to the Dda of Catanzaro by the justice collaborator Antonio Cossidente, a former member of the Basilischi clan, in Basilicata.

Maria Chindamo, according to Cossidente, would have been killed as punishment because she refused to sell land to Salvatore Ascone, under investigation for the murder of the entrepreneur.

The statements of Cossidente were acquired in the proceedings of the trial due to the alleged pressure on the collaborator Emanuele Mancuso by his family to have him retracted. Emanuele Mancuso, son of the boss Pantaleone, would have told Cossidente the facts related to the disappearance of Maria Chindamo.
